Nagimiso, an aspiring writer, created the doujin web comic Miku-4. Eventually, East Press obtained Crypton's authorization to publish the manga. It tells a poignant story about Hatsune Miku, a reserved android manufactured by Crypton, who evolves into a self-aware being as a result of the kindness of her acquaintances and the steadfast dedication of a technician.
