Despite appearing meek in the classroom, Torii Ushio has become the shining star of the Kamakurahama High School water polo team. Her impressive aquatic skills were quickly noticed by teammate Nakaoka Riku, who also recognized her potential as a team leader. However, Riku was stunned to discover a secret about Ushio - she is the priestess of the dragon god, a role passed down in her temple-running family. Ushio's duties include guarding and escorting the mysterious Sango, a teenage girl who resides in a clandestine underwater cave as the descendant of the original dragon god. Much to everyone's surprise, Sango joins the water polo team and astounds her teammates with her incredible swimming abilities.
