The Earth-PLANT war ended in October of Cosmic Era 71 after the Second Battle of Yakin Due. Jess Rabble, a mobile suit pilot, journalist, and cameraman, is on a mission to reveal the truth of the world through the lens of a mobile suit. When Jess meets members of the Junk Guild, he is introduced to Lowe Gear, who provides him with a newly built suit called the Astray Out Frame to aid in his mission. With the help of Lowe's talkative computer AI '8', Jess embarks on a quest to document emerging battlegrounds across the globe.
