Takeru discovers Konoha, a melancholic young girl in a barren city who is determined to end her life. Despite her invulnerable nature, a brutal group controls her every move, rendering her a vulnerable pawn. Konoha has no drive to continue living after escaping her captors. Takeru, who shares her immortality, but who has successfully established himself as a target-locating expert, empathizes with Konoha. He saves her from her oppressors and persuades her to continue living in search of a more meaningful existence. Their journey forward sparks a ray of hope.
