Despite Naruto Uzumaki's persistent proclamation that he will someday hold the esteemed title of Hokage, bestowed only upon the greatest ninja in the Village Hidden in Leaves, his fellow villagers refuse to take him seriously. Since birth, they have ostracized and mocked him, not because of his playful nature, sharp tongue, or lack of skill in ninja techniques, but due to the presence of a demon living within him. Prior to his birth, a fearsome and lethal Nine-Tailed Fox had wreaked havoc on the village, prompting the Fourth Hokage to sacrifice himself to seal the demon inside the infant Naruto.
When Naruto is subsequently appointed to Team 7, alongside new comrades Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno under the tutelage of veteran ninja Kakashi Hatake, he is forced to cooperate with others for the first time. Through rigorous training and taking on tough challenges, Naruto must grasp the value of teamwork and create his own path to be recognized as a full-fledged ninja by his village.
