During class, Akira Tsubaki sits next to Mikoto Urabe, a new transfer student who has earned a weird reputation for laughing loudly without reason and avoiding socializing by napping at her desk. One day, Tsubaki wakes up Urabe from her desk nap and notices her drool on the desk. He impulsively tastes it and is later informed by Urabe that his fever is actually love sickness caused by withdrawal from her drool. They begin a bizarre relationship where Urabe feeds Tsubaki her drool every day to prevent further sickness.
