Shuuhei Sazaka has a great fondness for playing hide-and-seek, which he shares with his longtime friend Kaori. In an effort to mix things up, Kaori decides to hide one day but the game takes a sudden and eerie turn when she disappears without a trace. Shuuhei is left shaken by the incident and feels responsible for not finding her.
Over the years, inexplicable mazes have been appearing and countless people have gone missing. Shuuhei has been unjustly accused of contributing to these incidents, but he accidentally discovers the labyrinths. He is surprised to find Kaori there, but she is no longer the same girl he remembers.
In Nemuri no Fuchi, Shuuhei sets out on a mission to uncover the mysterious link between the mazes and the abductions.
