Orange Marmalade is set in a society where vampires are omnipresent but still treated as pariahs and are forced to hide their true identities, despite having agreed to a peace treaty two centuries earlier. Although they manage to satiate their appetite with pig's blood, Baek Ma Ri, a young vampire, is continually plagued by the challenges that come with her nature. The girl has been ostracized and forced to leave many neighborhoods due to fear and hatred, making her eager to settle with her family in their current city. Ma Ri's disenchantment with love and friendship is fueled by the never-ending prejudice against her kind. However, when she gets a whiff of Jung Jae Min's sweet-smelling blood, she becomes unable to resist the temptation to bite into his neck. Ma Ri must now deal with the aftermath of this encounter as her victim falls for her.
