Yaya Higuchi has a deep love for visual kei musicians and gothic lolita fashion, which she keeps hidden due to potential ridicule from her peers and her strict father. However, she feels free to express herself on Sundays in Harajuku, where she joins like-minded teens.
Despite keeping her interests private, Yaya faces mistreatment from her supposed friends, Seri and Moe. She remains optimistic even though she is only acknowledged by her bullies and a blunt male classmate named Moriyama.
But things take a turn when a formidable girl named Nana enters Yaya's life. Nana defends Yaya from Seri and Moe's pranks and shields her from lecherous men on the street. Observing Nana's acts of kindness on several occasions, Moriyama becomes suspicious that Nana and Yaya are the same person.
