A few months have passed since the conclusion of the first series, and in the sequel, Shinkurou and Suzu have tied the knot and become loyal subjects to the ruling family of Ima. They've grown accustomed to their peaceful lifestyle when they receive instructions from an important government official, demanding that they journey to the capital to meet with him. However, their travels are met with obstacles such as bandits and demonic creatures, as well as a peculiar mononoke in the guise of a young boy who seems to be trailing them! They must team up with their old acquaintances and forge new friendships in order to combat the otherworldly entities that still threaten their existence!
