Nobuaki Kanazawa underwent a traumatic ordeal during the "King's Game" seven months ago. Though he managed to survive and transfer to a new school, he remains hesitant to form bonds due to the loss of his friends. To his dismay, his apprehensions come to fruition when the King sends him a message announcing a fresh game. Though well-acquainted with the rules, Nobuaki has a difficult time convincing his peers to treat the situation with gravity. Tragically, some pay the price for their indifference. Additionally, Nobuaki discovers another person who previously made it through the ordeal and is bent on winning at any cost, further complicating matters.
