In Kinushima Michiru's account of the not-too-far future, a world dominated by androids indistinguishable from humans, SA Corp. introduces Giftia - the most life-like android model yet. However, these androids suffer from a technical flaw - they have short lifespans. To combat this issue, SA Corp. establishes a terminal service managed by the newly hired Tsukasa Mizugaki. Mizugaki partners with Giftia Isla, whose task is to retrieve androids who have exceeded their usefulness.
