Okashi Nako, living in poverty, applies to work at a Gem store. However, she is rejected by the owner, Otsuka Ren, who reveals her sexual orientation as a lesbian. Despite suspicions of bias, Ren maintains that Nako does not fit her romantic preferences. In dire need of employment, Nako accepts the job, embarking on a funny and eventful adventure through societal divisions, health problems, and unexpected fate turns.
