Despite being in February, there has been a lack of snowfall during the entire winter season. Kanon's father frequently goes on business trips and has been displaying signs of inappropriate behavior towards his attractive and youthful female colleague, which doesn't sit well with Kanon due to the recent death of her mother. Meanwhile, Kanon's little brother has been devoted to collecting insects, but sadly, they are dwindling in numbers.
However, this is just the tip of the iceberg as a menacing plague is looming. Initially, the insects are inexplicably dying at an alarming rate, then followed by the rats, who are scrounging for a new food source. Unfortunately, the situation continues to deteriorate.
