In Remnant, humanity and Faunus coexist in the face of constant danger from fearsome Grimm creatures. Huntsmen and Huntresses, armed with specialized weapons and their own unique powers called "Semblances," fight back against these beasts. By using Dust, a crystallized energy source, warriors can imbue their weapons with elemental properties. Extensive training is necessary in this perilous profession, and Remnant has established schools in each of the four Kingdoms to prepare aspiring Huntsmen.
At Beacon Academy, located in Vale, four promising female warriors emerge as Team RWBY. With diverse backgrounds, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long sometimes clash, but they are a formidable force when they work together. Professor Ozpin, Beacon's headmaster, recognizes their potential. Along with their classmates, including Team JNPR, the intrepid Ruby and her friends take on deadly missions battling the extremist Faunus organization, known as the White Fang. Each perilous escapade also brings them closer to uncovering the shadowy villains who are behind the turbulence and turmoil.
