A decade in the works, Sakura-gari recounts a romantic tale set in the Taishou Era. It follows the journey of Tagami Masataka, a 16-year-old on a quest to discover his purpose in life. Masataka, a rounin looking to enroll in prep school, meets Saiki Souma, the son of the prominent and honorable Saiki Koushyaku family, and is invited to join the family's household.
