The focus is on three entertaining characters in Sansha Sanyou: the frenetic new kid, Futaba Odagiri; the outwardly pleasant student council head, Teru Hayama, who possesses an uncharacteristically rough personality; and Youko Nishikawa, once wealthy but now indigent, who remains regal in spite of her circumstances. Despite their disparate temperaments, the trio forms a tight-knit relationship and faces the joys and sorrows of growing up in an uproarious story.
