Years ago, Rakuichi Nagahama caught the nation's eye with his exceptional soccer skills while attending elementary school. He left for Italy and was absent for three years, but upon his reluctant return to the rural town where he grew up, the local high school soccer team was eager to have him join their ranks, despite his evident failure in Italy. However, Rakuichi is uncertain about reinstating himself on the field. While his childhood best friend, now an attractive woman, is excited to watch him play again and his former rivals anticipate another opportunity to compete against him, and the whole school is counting on him, Rakuichi has sworn off soccer for good.
