Upon arriving in America to attend college, Satoko, a Japanese woman, was elated to meet her new roommate, Nada, a woman from Saudi Arabia who dressed modestly. Although their cultures were vastly different, the two formed a fast friendship, and Satoko was impressed by Nada's fashion sense and attentiveness to life, as well as her devout Islamic practices. Satoko cherished the chance to learn from Nada's way of life, and the two savored their time together as they broadened their perspectives.
