During 18th century England, Gabriel, an orphan girl hailing from a noble family that had lost its position, developed a friendship with Jeremy, a young man who was said to be the illegitimate offspring of a nobleman. Following a certain event, Gabriel pretends to be Jeremy, occupying his spot at an all-male academy for the nobility; though the institution may appear ideal to some, it conceals a severity that Gabriel would never have envisioned.
