Wakana is a student at the cram school where her teacher, Toutou-sensei, works. She is quiet but easily aggravated and usually spends her class time texting a boy named Mizuno from another school. However, one day, her phone is confiscated. After the class ends, Toutou-sensei returns her phone and confesses his love for her.
Although Wakana is skeptical of Toutou-sensei’s feelings, she receives confirmation the next day when he asks for her answer. Following a series of disputes, Wakana approaches Mizuno, who rejects her as he has a new girlfriend. Eventually, Wakana finds solace in the arms of Toutou-sensei and they decide to have a "trial date" to see if they can be together.
