Centuries ago, the demon lord attempted to conquer the world, but a hero defeated him. In present times, the demon lord has returned as a beautiful girl, unaware of her past, yet still possessing deadly powers. The only one helping her is a robot assistant that carries her memories. As the demon lord appears, a new hero with the previous hero's mark on his neck arises. Mao, the demon lord's fairy assistant, is sent to find the new champion. However, Mao discovers a weak and timid boy named Alsha, much to her surprise. The demon lord advises Alsha through Mao, guiding him on the path to becoming a great hero. Sadly, she realizes that he is just a hapless youngster.
