Nagasaki prefecture, located in Japan, is a realm of enchantment. The sorcerers who call it home are unable to traverse the ocean and find themselves confined to Kyuushu. Despite this limitation, they pose a significant enough threat that the Americans felt compelled to drop a bomb on them during WWII. The inhabitants are apprehensive that a repeat occurrence could transpire, especially if the non-magical populace perceives the magicians as a menace.
Ten-year-old Mizukura Risuka is the daughter of the mightiest wizard alive. Domiciled outside Nagasaki, she is on a quest to find her father and vanquish evil magician foes. Her blood is imbued with spells that manipulate time, enabling her to hasten through her life. In her final act of desperation, her blood will reincarnate her at the peak of her powers for one minute when she meets a gruesome end at the age of 27.
Her partner in navigating the ordinary human world is Kugi Kizutaka, also a decade-old. Kizutaka is a prodigy, but he is also a sociopath. He perceives himself as the only individual capable of ruling and believes that people can only achieve happiness under his dominion. To him, every person he encounters is a pawn or a slave, including his companion Risuka.
