Everyone loved kind-hearted Makoto Mizuhara, except for the arrogant class president Jinnai. However, Jinnai's attitude changed once he stumbled upon a mysterious woman at Shinonome High School, leading him and Makoto to the strange world of El-Hazard.
Joining them on their adventure were Jinnai's sister Nanami and their teacher Masamichi Fujisawa. While Makoto and his companions formed alliances with the royal family of Roshtaria and the Muldoon Priestesses, Jinnai teamed up with the alluring queen of the Bugrom Empire, Deva.
The Earthlings discovered they had supernatural powers in their new surroundings, just as the fate of El-Hazard and Roshtaria hung in the balance. Three factions battled for control: the Demon-Goddess Ifurita, a terrifying weapon of immense power.
