Knowing he lacks an inherent talent for art, Yasaka Hachiki takes the initiative to enroll in the specialized school known as "The Tower of Ogres" to hone his skills as a mangaka, while accompanied by his friend Saru. However, despite the school's two-year curriculum, it is a rarity for more than one or two students to ultimately become professional manga artists. Among the students at the school, Mikeya "Mike" Touma stands as a strong contender for success, impressively showcasing his talent, although his friend Myaako seems unimpressed. Surprisingly, Myaako commends Hachi for a mediocre storyboard in his notebook, igniting a competitive rivalry between the two. This initiates a cutthroat battle among the students of Onigahama as they strive to fulfill their shared dream of becoming esteemed mangaka.
