Thaini Law is a young soldier in the 12th Company of the 4th Division of the Lao Liberation Army. Born to a Japanese father and a Laotian mother, Thaini is only 17 years old, but she is a sniper with a reputation for great skill. One day, the Muang Loa base where Thaini and her friends are stationed is ambushed by a government helicopter squadron. The base is destroyed, and Thaini's only living relative, her brother, is left for dead. Three Japanese mercenaries, Takaoka, Inomata, and Todo, betrayed the Liberation Army and leaked information to the enemy. They once saved Thaini's life on the battlefield, but were blinded by the huge reward from the Japanese yakuza who wanted to develop a drug route with Laos, and sold out their comrades. Under orders from the Liberation Army headquarters, Thaini follows the three back to Japan, the home country of his late father.
