Ichiro Hanada, a mischievous rural child, faces a twist of fate when he incurs the wrath of his furious mother while trying to evade her. The consequences of his actions result in an injury that requires nine stitches at the back of his head, and an unexpected aftermath: an ability to sense and communicate with supernatural beings.
