Heesoo had toured the United States in a bid to start anew but soon took a flight back to her Korean homeland only to be caught in a terrifying incident. The plane goes haywire, and she finds herself in a far-off world filled with zombie-like creatures referred to as "maenok," and stuck in her miserable fate. Unexpectedly, she crosses paths with Calix Clovis, a refined man with a unique ability to wield blue flames that nullify the maenok's powers.
