Kyoubei Kurokawa, a university student, is leading a directionless life. He ran away from home and now he doesn't even have a roof over his head. However, one day, his life takes a surprising turn when he is rescued from falling off a bridge by Asumi Nanjou, a mysterious girl from the same university. She takes him to her apartment and tends to his injuries. After learning about his helpless predicament, Nanjou offers him a place to stay on one condition - he will remain invisible to her. Though Kurokawa is initially flummoxed by her condition, he soon realizes that Nanjou means she will completely ignore his existence.
