Although Hayate Sakura was a typical high school student, he had an uncommon problem - he attracted spirits. After a savior saved him from the apparitions, Sakura begged for help in permanently banishing the ghosts, promising to do anything in exchange. Undertaker Riddle appeared and, as a specialist in leading lost souls to the afterlife, suggested that Sakura become an undertaker and join his team. The choice now rests in Sakura's hands: become an undertaker and free himself from the ghosts or decline the proposition and be haunted forever.
