Ever since Lum, a capricious alien princess, fell in love with him, Ataru's life has been anything but ordinary. Compounding his misery is the appearance of an extraterrestrial female clad in a tiger skin bikini who tails him to school on a daily basis. On top of that, Ataru must contend with Mendo, a refined, affluent rival. To make matters worse, a plethora of eccentric guests and educational materials constantly flood his classroom - from hapless cherry blossom spirits to a nightmare-devouring tapir and even a fourth-dimensional camera capable of distorting realities.
