Long ago, a kingdom was protected by a monarch reigning at the heart of the territory. Within the rural areas, the singers provided support for the king through their harmonious melodies. Nonetheless, they lived as though they were prisoners, compelled to sing continuously without rest. The skill of singing beautifully was an inheritance passed down solely from mother to daughter. Upon command of the king, the singers were confined to towers and instructed to sing nothing but lullabies. If a village ever lost their song, they would face inevitable ruin. Kain and Maria, siblings born to one of the singers, exposed the exploitation of these vocalists by the villagers. Kain vowed to protect his sister Maria from such a cruel fate.
