As the approach of the catastrophic Ragnarok, also known as the End of the World, draws near, Odin, the Almighty God, summons Lenneth Valkyrie - one of the three Fate-Goddesses - to take up the mantle. Her duty is to collect deserving human souls, who will soon become the powerful Einherjar that shall defend the Gods during the Ragnarok. As she traverses through Midgard, the mortal plane, gathering these eminent souls, Lenneth experiences various incidents that lead her to contemplate upon her identity and mission.
