Wadanohara, after a lengthy absence, returns to her beloved Sea Kingdom, where she spent her entire childhood. Along with her familiars - Fukami, the octopus; Dolphi, the dolphin; and Memoca, the seagull - she is overjoyed to be back, but she yearns to reunite with her beloved first familiar, Samekichi the shark, who has cut all ties with her.
The homecoming soon turns into a nightmare, however, as Samekichi inexplicably threatens Wadanohara, ordering her to leave and never come back. To make matters worse, the neighboring kingdom of Totsusa is on the brink of war with the peaceful Sea Kingdom. What is the reason behind Samekichi's hostility, and what does Totsusa hope to achieve through bloodshed and death in a war?
