The worship of the goddess Hellare holds great importance in Valdimar, where the king shocks his ten children with a proclamation: only the strongest among them will inherit the throne. Thus begins a decade-long, silent massacre within the royal palace.
Lisbelle, the fifth princess and one of the few remaining children, manages to survive without ever getting blood on her hands. However, she falls victim to one of her brother's schemes, and mysteriously finds herself transported back in time before the worst tragedies unfold. Though physically weak, Lisbelle's quick wit allows her to masquerade as a lunatic, disregarded by everyone around her, thereby securing her position as one of the last three survivors.
However, her half-brother thwarts her escape plans, triggering an awakening of Lisbelle's dormant divine power in a moment of divine intervention. As fate would have it, a fraction of her newfound powers falls into the hands of the renowned magician Asius, who realizes he's finally found the key to exact his long-awaited revenge.
