Miharu Seno, a sophomore in high school, has had an easy life thus far. He's attractive and excels academically, and has a knack for defeating his friend Kenya Fujishiro in video games. But when a strange creature resembling a stuffed toy steals his wallet at the arcade, Miharu's luck takes a turn for the worse. He's lead into a secluded room and confronted by the flamboyant "Romeo," who claims to be a time traveler from the future. Romeo enlists Miharu to compete in the "D-Game" with the help of their Judge, the stuffed animal Edward. Although Miharu is unimpressed with the prize, he refuses to lose and enters the game. The stakes are high, as losing means certain death.
