Operating under false pretenses, Shion is a young man employed by the Onmyou Organization with a singular goal in mind: avenging the obliteration of his nation and the loss of his loved ones. With the intent of destroying the homeland of the Empress, he sets his sights on her. In spite of this, their fates are inextricably linked - the Empress bears no love for violence and instead works towards uniting Japan harmoniously.
