Morio Kurokawa, a high school dropout and notorious troublemaker nicknamed "Morio the Black Panther," gained a reputation for triumphing in fights against older opponents. While walking around town with his group of friends, he stumbles upon Yukiko Akaza, a girl struggling with a vision disorder that severely impairs her eyesight. Undaunted by Morio's tough exterior, Yukiko repeatedly crosses paths with him, which gradually leads to Morio developing intense feelings for her. As they continue to meet, Morio's desire to safeguard Yukiko intensifies, and he gains insight into the daily challenges she faces.
