During their childhood, Tohko was the one who always protected Wataru due to his frailty. However, after Wataru's family moved to Germany, the friends lost touch. Years later, during Wataru's first year of high school upon returning to Japan, Tohko was surprised by his significant transformation. He had grown remarkably taller for his age and had become exceedingly assertive and dominating. Tohko found herself constantly subjugated, even having to prepare his lunch every day. She struggled to understand the "new" Wataru, whom she now regarded as more of a demon than the angel he had been in their childhood.
