When Chihiro Watanuki transferred to high school, she needed assistance finding a place to park her bicycle. Fortunately, Yuuji Yugami, the celebrated Baseball Club star, aided her. As her peers cautioned about Yugami's peculiar conduct, Chihiro tried to form a bond with him. She quickly discovered he was not the most sociable, and the rumors about him were accurate.
Chihiro struggled with the older students, but Yugami rescued her again. Chihiro began to see through his self-righteous intentions and into the person he truly was. She committed to treating him equitably and relishing her high school days with her newfound mates.
