While cicadas sing their song on a scorching summer day, a man prepares to end his life in his apartment. However, he fails to carry out his plan and spends his time idly watching television. A special show about seafood from Hokkaido catches his eye, and he realizes that he has never tasted crab before. Determined to try this luscious delicacy before he dies, the man decides to travel to Hokkaido with the last of his funds.
The journey costs more than expected, and as an unemployed man with no valuable possessions, he considers taking out a loan. Lost in thought, he unexpectedly collides with a wealthy housewife sporting an enormous diamond ring. He decides to rob her, but before he can even make a move, she offers him both her money and her body.
