Miyanari, who was once a model student obediently adhering to regulations, experiences a sudden change when he develops the capability of seeing a crimson thread that binds him to Hashiba, a well-known troublemaker in his grade. Though he initially feels incredulous that someone like Hashiba could be his destined partner, Miyanari finds himself in several predicaments with him - including instances where he receives assistance after being injured and moments where they are confined together. As he continues to spend time with Hashiba, Miyanari exposes a compassionate and kind facet to his personality, which stands in contrast to his tough exterior.
