The tale unfolds across a set of four isles positioned at a great distance from Japan and the South Seas, forging a detached realm from present-day Japan. The invention of anti-gravitons acted as a catalyst for the development of shoes called "grash" that counteract gravity, enabling individuals to levitate without employing wings or engines, thereby introducing a new dimension. This led to a burgeoning popularity in the sport of "Flying Circus."
Following a shattering defeat, the protagonist, who harboured aspirations of triumphing in the sport, abstains from participating due to multiple reasons. Nevertheless, when a fresh pupil, Haruka Kurashina, enters his life, she reignites his enthusiasm for the game by initiating her in the art of flying. Subsequently, he resurfaces in the world of Flying Circus.
