Living in Asakusa, Maki Ibaraki is a high school girl who has a deep passion for the local cuisine. Despite having a tendency to involve herself in ayakashi-related business with brute force tactics, she secretly remembers her past life as a demon princess known as the "Ibaraki Kid" during the Heian period.
Alongside Kaoru Amasake, who is the reincarnation of her former "husband" Shuutendouji, Maki continues to lend a helping hand to distressed ayakashi around Asakusa, including Kappa Temari who is mistreated at his part-time job and a tanuki family who manages a nearby soba restaurant. As the "Strongest Demon-bride," Maki's involvement in supernatural affairs remains prevalent to this day.
