This manga is as noir as they come. Benkei seems like a typical Japanese aristocrat living in New York City. But appearances can be deceiving, as the "diabolical hard-boiled stories" reveal. Flashbacks uncover their sordid, secretive past lives, and long-held grudges rise to the surface, demanding resolution.
Benkei has a secret. Perhaps it's simply that he's the only artist in town who isn't dreaming of becoming a hitman-for-hire. He has already become one.
