To honor his late grandfather's alma mater, Daisuke Ootaka enrolled at Torioka University as a baseball player. Sadly, his team's performance was lackluster, and their only redeeming quality was remarkable devotion. Adding to his frustration, Daisuke's captain, nicknamed "Chun," was an unusual and bothersome teammate. Disillusioned, Daisuke resolved to quit the team, but was blackmailed into staying by Chun. Forced to endure his annoying antics and constant companionship, Daisuke slowly discovered that Chun was harboring secrets related to Yokohama Stars' renowned player, Reiichi Shiratori.
