The manga introduces the team in a challenging scenario where they lack sufficient players to participate in a game. Things become worse when their coach departs following a feud with Fujiwara. However, the arrival of the protagonist Aikawa injects enthusiasm and love for the sport among the remaining players, motivating them to strive for a sense of direction.
Despite having only five players and no substitutes, the team manages to convince the coach of the girls' team to assist them. At first, her stern demeanor is intimidating, but she later reveals her deep affection for her "Dear Boys." Together, the team works towards fulfilling their dreams.
