After living in Transylvania for years, Earl Dracula, known as such on Osamu Tezuka's official English website, has moved to Japan along with his daughter Chocola and loyal servant Igor. They now dwell in a Tokyo-based Western-style house in Nerima Ward. While Chocola attends Junior High School, Earl Dracula craves the blood of beautiful and pure women, befitting of his status as a vampire. However, every time he leaves to hunt, he inadvertently gets tangled up in various disturbances, proving to be a disturbance for the town's inhabitants. What's more, his presence causes unrest in the community since the locals refuse to believe in vampires.
