During her time in junior high school, Mao Manaka gives off the impression of a poised and elegant young lady. However, her impulsive nature becomes apparent when she becomes fixated on something. This trait causes her classmates to keep their distance - a behavior that her childhood friend, Ryouma, compares to that of a bulldozer. Despite this, Ryouma enjoys being the only one who can stay by her side, as he harbors feelings for Mao.
Their relationship undergoes a shift when Mao meets Hayato Honjou, a budding actor who is struggling to establish himself in the entertainment world. Ryouma can see that Mao becomes increasingly fascinated with Hayato's promising career.
