Okuto Nakamura, a meek and somber student, holds dear only two things in this world - his beloved pet octopus and his kindhearted classmate, Aiki Hirose. Despite admiring Hirose's jovial nature since the school entrance ceremony, Nakamura's poor social skills have kept him distant from his crush.
